To a Taylor Swift concert.

The time has finally come, and your concert is just around the corner. The only problem is... you have no idea what to wear. With the rise of social media, "concert culture" grew with it. After the age of the pandemic, Harry Styles went on a huge tour titled 'Love on Tour.' He was one of the first to go back on the road and fans were ecstatic to see their favorite artist on tour again. The catch? The newest accessory was a mask. Fans, after being trapped in their rooms listening to Styles only made them want to express themselves in "style" even more.

As a result? Concert outfits got more extravagant than ever. Concerts became the Met Gala for music lovers. Rhinestones, dresses, platforms became the dress code, and naturally a pressure grew to wear the cutest outfit to see your favorite singer. But don't worry, because I'm here to take the weight off one look book at a time! Here I'm going to be adding the ultimate guide on what to wear to get you out of your comfort zone, make a statement and look good while doing it.

The tour that has taken the year 2023 by storm is most notably Taylor Swift's 'The Eras Tour.' Every Swiftie was so excited to hear about this announcement, seeing as they get to dress as whatever "era" is their favorite.

Seeing as she has just finished her first leg of tour, fans are getting an idea of what the vibe was for the concert. But of course, there's still a huge indecisiveness that comes with the pressure to pick out your outfit, and I'm here to help you out! As somebody who regularly goes to concerts, I always scope out the vibe of the artist, and their fans. For Taylor Swift specifically, the colors were very bright for the most part. Glitter, rhinestones, boots and sequins were a must.

Tips for all the look books:

  • Take a screenshot of your favorite look and put it into Pinterest finds! You'll be able to find duplicates at higher or lower prices.

  • DIY and thrift! Depop, poshmark, etc. are your best friends in this.

Details to each era...

Taylor Swift

  • I would love to see some people recreate Taylor's 'Our Song' dress!

  • Coastal cowgirl is the move. Longer white dresses with details of buttons, lace, floral and flowy silhouettes

  • Corduroy/ crochet vests add more of a "cowgirl" element

  • I especially love cowboy boots with embellishments on them, like butterflies or flowers!

Fearless (Taylor's Version)

  • Fairy-tale vibes all the way, I got a lot of style inspiration from the 'Love Story' music video

  • Dresses and tops with a prevalent "princess" look! Example are Puffier/longer skirts

  • A bedazzled pair of cowboy boots!

Speak Now (Taylor's Version)

  • Tulle/sequin beaded dresses are the only way to do Speak Now!

  • Would love to see people incorporate white lace gloves into their outfit

  • Shoe choice: once I saw Taylor wear ballet flats in the back of her Taylor's Version cover, I realized how perfect it was for this era. Knee high boots are also a key shoe in this era

Red (Taylor's Version)

  • My favorite part of this era is the "rock star" look she adapted for her tour outfits

  • "Ringleader" silhouette, pieces with a train behind you is a must!

  • Roses and tulle are a look in this era, like in the 'I bet you think about me' music video

1989 (Taylor's Version)

  • This era was full of bandeau tops and two piece sets, which is a complete must

  • I love the pieces with a hem of feathers or beads on them, I think those embellishments are also a huge part of the era

  • An underrated outfit from the 1989 tour is the 'How you get the girl' two piece set. I would love to see some recreations!

Reputation

  • My favorite look from this era is a sheer dress. Make a look inspired by Taylor's 'Dress' tour outfit!

  • Spikes, paper clips, and snakes are a must in a 'Reputation' piece

  • Chain dresses are perfect for this era

  • I would love to see mesh rhinestone high heeled boots!

Lover

  • I would love to see more matching sets with heart, flower or butterfly 3-dimensional embellishments

  • If you don't want to go the dress route, a pink pant suit is perfect, especially to capture 'The Man' look!

  • My favorite part of this era is all the rhinestones and glitter. Having fun pumps with hearts, flowers, etc. tie it all together

Folklore

  • Would love to see knit dresses! Perfect for this era

  • A whimsical, fairy silhouette is the move

  • Platform ballet flats are super cute, or Mary Janes!

Evermore

  • Velvet fabric clothes are perfect for this era

  • Longer dresses with a flared sleeve, "fairy" silhouette

  • I would love to see more outfits inspired by 'gold rush!'

Midnights

  • Chainmail / rhinestone beaded pieces are a must

  • Slip dresses for 'Lavender Haze' are super cute! I would love to see more people recreate this look.
